The mobile application "My Vacapp" co-financed by Fundación Ayuda en Acción has been developed to promote livestock care, mainly in Azuay and Ecuador in general.
The application allows users to access a didactic guide which allows them to implement appropriate livestock practices based on the regulations of the area.
In addition, the application allows users to keep the data record of cattle divided into some parameters according to the sex of the animal, which are proposed from a previous livestock control management.Those who require the registration of data such as milk production, growth and weighing, veterinary control (Vaccines and Deworming), age of the animal, reminders of veterinary treatments, reproductive data of the animals based on the dates that adjust to the average number of animals of the area and more.The application contains a didactic guide is divided into 5 sections which are detailed below:- Food: forage production (main pastures in the area), preparation and storage of silage.-Management of electric fencing: detail of benefits, implementation and equipment to be used for a proper installation of electric fencing depending on the area and the type of animals.- Milking: recommendations and techniques for animal milking based on good practices and techniques that allow adequate milking of the animal.
The guide is intuitive: oral and written.-Breeds: main bovine breeds with their respective technical specifications and parameters to consider.
The section is divided by the genus of the animal given its differences with respect to natural characteristics.-Health: general description of the main diseases that affect cattle, their main causes, how to treat them and how to prevent them.The application automates in a simple way the livestock processes based on the age of the animals divided by stages and how they can generate their benefits from the stage in which they are.Given the deficiency of the producers with respect to a log of recorded data, the application allows taking the dates and medical treatment in order to remember the next treatment date from reminders within the application.If you are a farmer, it is the tool that you had thought of given your need, take advantage of each of the functionalities for free with no limit to the registration of animals and improve the production of your livestock from data collection in an easy and simple way.
